History
Edit
Early history
Edit
Justin Braun was born on Earth in 1976.
During the Eugenics Wars, one faction detonated biogenic weapons, rendering thousands of people on Earth unconscious and riddled with an incurable medical condition; Braun was one of the victims. The United Nations voted to place the victims in cryosatellites in orbit of Earth, but most of these sleeper ships mysteriously disappeared in the early 21st century.
- Starfleet later came to the conclusion the wake from the USS Voyager's trip to 1996 dragged these cryosatellites into the 23rd and 24th centuries, dispersing them throughout the Alpha and Beta Quadrants.
The cryosatellite Braun's body was stored aboard was discovered around 2353.
- This cryosatellite was not the same as the one Scott Fack's body was aboard.
2367
Edit
In 2367, he assisted the Prospect crew in the rescue effort at Wolf 359. He was also present on the bridge when Kari Liljehorn first reported for duty aboard the Prospect mid-2367. (Star Trek: The Prospect Chronicles: "The Burnt Child")
Weeks later, Braun altered several Prospect crew to appear as Jenchum during an undercover away team mission to Goffan III.
He also determined Liljehorn's continual exposure to the Thrall would leave her with severe neurological damage or could even lead to death. Braun accompanied an away team to help monitor Liljehorn's condition and convince her she needed to come back to the Prospect.
Back aboard the Prospect, he helped Liljehorn in her recovery as best as he could. (Star Trek: The Prospect Chronicles: "Starry, Starry Night")
Later that same year, he attended James Lee's birthday party. Braun also advised Captain John Sill on the bridge during the M'Tar holding the Prospect away team hostage aboard the USS Artemis. After the away team was recovered, Dr. Braun tended Anne Cobry's serious internal injuries and operated on both Scott Fack and Garrett to remove the M'Tar enhancements and physically rehabilitate them both. He also let Jason Athelstan stay by Fack's side in Sickbay during that time. (Star Trek: The Prospect Chronicles: "Lady Lazarus")
